Essential Infrastructure Starts Below the Surface.
Trenching is a critical part of bringing utilities and infrastructure to a building site. Valor Development excavates trenches for water, electrical, drainage, sewer, and other underground systems while considering the surrounding property and future construction. Route planning, depth, access, soil conditions, crossings, drainage, and connections to buildings or service points can all influence the work. Coordinating trenching with grading, foundations, driveways, septic systems, and other site improvements can help prevent conflicts and create a more efficient path from raw property to a fully serviced site.

PREPARING THE PATH FOR ESSENTIAL INFRASTRUCTURE
Utility Route Planning
The most direct route is not always the best route. Buildings, roads, drainage, septic areas, future improvements, terrain, and service locations should all be considered before excavation begins.
Water & Sewer Lines
Underground water and sewer routes need to be coordinated with buildings, property infrastructure, and site conditions. Proper planning can reduce conflicts with roads, foundations, and other utilities.
Electrical & Communications
Electrical and communications infrastructure may require long underground runs on rural properties. Trenching can be planned around service locations, future buildings, access, and the overall development of the site.
Drainage & Infrastructure
Trenches may also support drainage systems and other site infrastructure. Excavation should be coordinated with finished grades so underground work and surface water management function together.

Underground Infrastructure for Rural Colorado Properties
Utility installation can be more complex on Southern Colorado properties where buildings are far from existing services or terrain makes direct routes difficult. Long distances, slopes, rock, freezing conditions, roads, and future development plans can all influence trench locations and excavation requirements.
On rural and off-grid projects, several systems may need to cross the property at once. Water, electrical, septic, drainage, and communications should be considered together so one installation does not interfere with another or with future buildings and roads.
Valor Development combines trenching with grading, site preparation, foundations, septic, and construction experience. That broader view helps underground infrastructure become part of the complete property plan, creating cleaner coordination between what is below the surface and what will eventually be built above it.

"Valor Development went above and beyond for me. They are typically a custom home builder, but the owner, Warren, made an exception to help bring my water-damaged home back to life. I am so grateful he was willing to take on the project.

Warren and his team knocked the entire job out in just 9 days. After dealing with the stress of water damage, getting my home back that quickly meant more than I can say.

Special thanks to Warren, Jason, the construction manager, and Brian, the master carpenter, who also has great taste in music. The whole team was professional, skilled, and efficient from start to finish.

I could not be more thankful to have my home back so quickly. I highly recommend Valor Development."

"My wife and I wanted to build a pole barn that would provide shelter for both horses and equipment. It also needed to match the landscape and surrounding structures as well meeting our frequent climate conditions (notably snow and wind loads). We did some shopping around and found Valor Development Solutions provided us a very fair price point and estimate as well as working with us to ensure the quality, design and final layout were what we wanted to meet our expectations and area conditions.
We found not just the office, sales and marketing personnel be exceptional, but also the project management, crews providing site work, erection, and steel, were fantastic to work with. the crews even added additional features to the barn doors that were above and beyond expectations. The structure came in on budget and we couldn’t be happier with the final product and people at Valor!"

"Valor Development was recommended to us by Colorado Forestry, who had just done a driveway for us. . We started just wanting to do a metal building and it morphed into a barn dominium.
We threw a lot of twist and turns into our project, but Warren and his crew handled it very professionally and got our project done.
We love our tiny getaway home and will recommend Valor Development to anyone wanting to build in the wild of the Colorado mountains!"

"I couldn't be happier with the experience I had working with Warren and RJ from Valor Development for my site survey. From the moment I spoke with Warren, I was comfortable with his views and willingness to work with me on my goats no matter how it affected him or the level of work his company would be putting into the project. From the start, their team took a straightforward, no-nonsense approach that made me feel confident and well-informed about the process without being concerned with my wife and I having constant changes in our wants and locations to build.

Their experience was immediately apparent—not just in terms of surveying the land, but in understanding everything that goes into building an off-grid home. They actually walked everywhere with us, pointed out the pros and cons to each are. They anticipated questions I hadn't even thought to ask and gave me valuable insights about what's ahead in the journey."
