Warren Gold, a U.S. Army service disabled combat veteran, brings integrity and precision to every build. With decades of leadership in construction, land development, and operations; including leadership roles at Starbucks Coffee Co, Overhead Door Corp, and Ultravision LED, Warren has overseen residential, commercial, and government construction projects nationwide.
At Valor, he focuses on site development, permitting, and turnkey building solutions. Locally, he leads with integrity, ensuring Westcliffe, Silver Cliff, and Southern Colorado clients get the attention and craftsmanship they deserve.
Shawn Gaide - Vice President Co-Owner
Shawn Gaide has lived in Westcliffe since 1980 and is known across Custer County for his expertise in excavation, land management, and forestry. With more than 20 years running Colorado Forestry & Earthworks, Shawn specializes in site prep, septic, and environmental planning—making him the backbone of Valor’s development services. His deep local knowledgeensures projects are built right the first time, tailored to Colorado’s rugged terrain.
Shawn brings unparalleled knowledge and precision to every project. His deep understanding of land management and problem-solving makes him a trusted advisor for clients seeking effective, customized solutions.
Marcy Gold - Client Experience Manager
Marcy Gold brings a strong background in business management, client relations, and operations to her role as C.E.M at Valor Development. She oversees client communications, and day-to-day client experiences, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all aspects of the business.
Her diverse expertise in managing teams, supporting clients, and streamlining operations allows her to provide the organizational backbone that supports Valor’s complex design and build projects.
RJ Hillman - Development Manager
RJ Hillman manages the project development and construction for Valor Development. He responds to new client inquiries, prepares scopes and estimates, and manages day-to-day project execution to ensure each build stays on track, on budget, and aligned with client expectations.
RJ served in the US Army, and is a service disabled combat veteran.
Mitch Medl - Development Manager
Mitch Medl manages the project development and construction for Valor Development. He responds to new client inquiries, prepares scopes and estimates, and manages day-to-day project execution to ensure each build stays on track, on budget, and aligned with client expectations.
Mitch is a US Marine Corps veteran.
Katie McBride - Architectural Designer
Katie McBride leads the design process for Valor Development, working closely with clients to turn ideas into practical, buildable plans.
From custom homes and barndominiums to barns and agricultural buildings, she ensures each project is tailored to the client’s needs, lifestyle, and property. With a strong sense of space, flow, and functionality,
Her hands-on approach continues throughout construction, collaborating with the field team to make sure every detail aligns with the original design. Katie’s deep understanding of rural living and high-country conditions allows her to create spaces that are both beautiful and built to last — reflecting the craftsmanship and care that define every Valor project.
